I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan – Flint. I earned my PhD in the Evolutionary Psychology Lab working with Dr. Todd Shackelford and colleagues. There we studied human behavior from an evolutionary perspective. You can find an overview of evolutionary psychology here.
My research focuses on human sexual conflict, particularly the evolved psychology of rape and rape avoidance. I also investigate sexual conflict in other domains, including partner-directed insults, adaptations to sperm competition, and mate retention tactics.
